RSB members will meet on 28th April to convene a high-impact joint meeting of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Policy Platform and the Sustainable Marine Fuels (SMF) Platform to address emerging challenges in sustainability certification and policy implementation.

Taking place online from 16:00 CEST, the meeting aims to:

  • Reflect on recent developments affecting voluntary certification schemes,
  • Explore how trust and credibility can be strengthened under RED III and other frameworks,
  • Co-develop policy recommendations to be shared with the European Commission.

The session will feature expert insights from:

  • Galin Gentchev, European Commission – on certification credibility and oversight under RED III
  • Carolina Grassi, RSB – on integrity in sustainability frameworks and governance
  • Patrick Lynch, BioLedger – on digital traceability to enhance assurance and compliance
  • Javier Castro, SAJOMA – on practical implementation of robust assurance mechanisms
