We know that meaningful sustainability work takes time and so does recognising it. That’s why we’re giving nominators just a bit more space to complete and strengthen their entries. The final deadline is now 3 October 2025 at 23:39 CEST.
Whether you’ve already started or are planning to submit for the first time, this is your chance to ensure your entry does justice to the work you’re leading.

Any individual or organisation can nominate a leader, company, or project (including self-nominations).

What happens when you win
On the lead up to the awards, we will widely showcase the finalists to amplify the work of changemakers across the bioeconomy.
Winners of the Transition Leaders’ Awards will:
- Be celebrated at the Transition Leaders’ Gala Dinner in Geneva on 9 December Â
- Speak on the Winners’ Panel at the RSB Annual Conference 2025, moderated by Airbus Â
- Gain an automatic nomination to the 2026 Earthshot Prize Â
If you have already started your submission, now is the perfect time to finalise it. Please note that this is the only extension we’ll be granting, so make sure to submit your application once it’s ready.
