You’re invited to Graze the Desert: a field day hosted by Grassroots Carbon and the Dixon Water Foundation at the Mimms Ranch, a working cattle operation in the high desert grasslands outside Marfa, Texas.
Friday & Saturday, September 18–19, you’ll spend a day and a half on the land: classroom time with DWF’s grazing consultants, a ranch tour to see adaptive grazing in action, and a Texas BBQ lunch trading ideas with your neighbors.
This is a hands-on workshop for ranchers and land managers. We encourage participants to bring a printed map of their ranch to work alongside our hosts as we navigate and discuss the six soil health principles and how they can be applied to your grazing operation.
