A self-supporting FeSA/NC catalyst, featuring atomically dispersed Fe–N4 active sites, exhibits remarkable activity for alkaline oxygen reduction with a high energy density of 77 mW cm−2 and long-term stability (77 h) in quasi-solid ZABs.
