Bandvulc has unveiled a 315/70 size for its fifth-generation Wastemaster tire (Wastemaster 5) with a high load rating, catering to operators using vehicles operating in urban waste collection and recycling center environments.
The tire was developed, tested and produced at ContiLifeCycle’s Ivybridge factory in Devon in the UK, which produces Bandvulc and ContiRe hot retread tires.
Tires on specialist waste vehicles handling kerbside collections and operating at recycling sites are frequently exposed to harsh conditions, facing sidewall damage from kerbing, tread damage from trapped stones and chipping from rough surfaces. All are factors that can lead to early removal, preventing tires from reaching their full lifespan.
