Can 18 students build a solar car capable of crossing 3,000km of Australian outback on nothing but sunlight?

The Brunel Solar Team from TU Delft will be attempting to achieve exactly this when it competes in the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (August 24–31), a 3,000km race across Australia from Darwin, Northern Territory, to Adelaide, South Australia, that tests the limits of solar-powered mobility.

The Dutch university‘s vehicle, Nuna 13, is the result of months of design, engineering and testing, and the project highlights the precision and decision-making required when performance, efficiency and endurance are imperatives.
