Catalyst-free one-step oxidation of benzene to phenol using nanobubbles

One-step conversion from benzene to phenol without catalyst was achieved under ambient conditions by nanobubble chemistry using a light-assisted ultrasonic method. The conversion rate can be as high as 34.5% with a selectivity of 96.6%.
