Intrinsic Advanced Materials will introduce a new generation of sustainable luxury home textiles at Heimtextil 2026, in Frankfurt. The company’s latest development combines TENCEL™ fibers and CiCLO® biodegradable polyester, emphasizing comfort and durability. The collection is designed for high-end home and hospitality applications, supporting environmental responsibility.

CiCLO® technology is a patented ingredient that enables polyester and nylon fibers to biodegrade naturally over time. The fibers attract microorganisms, which break down the materials when exposed to moisture and environmental conditions. This process significantly reduces the lifespan of synthetic fibers in nature, minimizing pollution.

TENCEL™ fibers are derived from certified or controlled wood sources, ensuring the sustainability of the raw materials. When blended with CiCLO® fibers, they create textiles that are soft, breathable, and environmentally friendly. The fabrics are OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT and REACH certified, meeting strict safety standards for human and environmental health.

The collection is specially designed for sheets, pillows, comforters, and other high-use products. It offers a luxurious feel, long-lasting performance, and a reduced environmental footprint. The fibers’ biodegradability is verified by third-party tests following ASTM methods, confirming the textiles’ eco-friendly nature.

Cheryl Smyre, Vice President of Intrinsic Advanced Materials, highlighted the importance of combining luxury and sustainability. “This collaboration highlights how responsible materials can elevate comfort and product value,” she said. Walter Bridgham from Lenzing AG emphasized the industry’s shift toward eco-conscious materials that meet modern performance expectations.

These innovative textiles support the hospitality industry’s move toward environmentally responsible products. They deliver comfort, durability, and sustainability, aligning with industry demands for responsible luxury.
