Carbon Upcycling has been named to the 2026 Global Cleantech 100. The prestigious annual list curated by Cleantech Group recognizes the top 100 companies from around the world “poised to deliver market-ready solutions that advance a cleaner, more resilient global future.”

2026 marks the third year Carbon Upcycling has made the list. The recognition reflects progress made with our partners to advance large-scale projects across North America, starting with our first-of-its-kind project with Ash Grove Cement Company.

Why this matters right now

Cement and concrete are essential to infrastructure, housing, AI, and energy systems. They are also a major source of carbon emissions. The sector is under growing pressure to reduce emissions without compromising performance, cost, or constructability.

At the same time, producers and project owners face supply uncertainty across key inputs. In the U.S., cement imports reached ~25 million metric tons in 2024 versus ~104 million metric tons of consumption, underscoring the broader reality of exposure to supply and price volatility (American Cement Association, 2025).

For the industry, the challenge is not just decarbonization but meeting market demands sustainably. The challenge is to do more with less.

What we do

Carbon Upcycling is advancing cement manufacturing to meet the demands of a new era. Our platform system transforms industrial byproducts and CO₂ into high-quality cement materials, building a sustainable and cost-effective pathway to strengthen local supply chains, enable industrial onshoring, and accelerate the transition to low-carbon infrastructure.

At a glance, we:

✅ Transform CO₂ and industrial byproducts into local, high-quality cement materials

✅ Strengthen domestic supply chains and reduce risk in critical construction inputs

✅ Deliver repeatable, scalable commercial projects

“Being named a Global Cleantech 100 for a third time is powerful validation of our work to deliver technology that provides measurable impact in the critical building materials industry at commercial scale.”

– Apoorv Sinha, CEO of Carbon Upcycling.
