AIMPLAS has recently received official recognition from Australian ABA and Japanese JBPA to perform biodegradation and compostability tests.

This is great news for companies looking to get eco-labels for their products and open doors to these important markets more easily.

ABA has approved AIMPLAS’s labs to carry out soil biodegradation and compostability tests following the strict DIN CERTCO standards.

Meanwhile, JBPA has recognized AIMPLAS for testing biodegradation in compost and soil, as well as disintegration at both lab and pilot scales, and ecotoxicity in plants.

These recognitions show that AIMPLAS’s testing capabilities meet high international standards.

This adds to AIMPLAS’s growing list of accredited testing services, which already includes recognitions from DIN CERTCO and BPI for European and North American markets. They are also approved to conduct tests according to EN 13432, enabling certification bodies to issue eco-labels that prove products are biodegradable or compostable in different environments.

These certifications are a big help for plastic companies that want to demonstrate their products’ environmental performance and meet the rising market demands and regulations focused on sustainability and circularity.

With these tests and certifications, companies can confidently show their products are eco-friendly, boost their international competitiveness, and move closer to more sustainable, circular production models.
