What inspired you to pursue a career in agriculture, and what keeps you passionate about it today?
My journey into agriculture wasn’t a sudden leap, but a steady rooting. I found my inspiration at Plantation Park Heights Urban Farm, where frequent visits eventually grew into a deep-seated calling. In 2023, I decided to go all-in, transitioning into a full-time volunteer role as both a beginner farmer and Marketing Director.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in farming, and how did you overcome it?
Navigating the “Strength Myth.” I overcame it by showing stewardship is about heart and strategy and by working alongside the youth and community.
