The latest generation of the all-electric compact Renault Twingo has been fitted with original equipment tires from Continental – 18-inch Continental EcoContact 7 – as standard worldwide.
The 18-inch tire has earned top ratings on the EU tire label for energy efficiency and rolling noise, and meets key requirements expected for electric vehicles today: low rolling resistance to help maximize driving range and low rolling noise for a quieter, more pleasant driving experience.
The EcoContact 7 achieves high energy efficiency through a new rubber compound and Smart Energy Casing technology. This technology uses new materials in the tire’s carcass, liner and sidewall to reduce internal friction and lower rolling resistance.
