Cascades is installing what it calls a state-of-the-art tissue converting line at its facility in Granby, Que. (pictured).

The new equipment, representing a $15-million investment, will be installed over nine months, with the dual goals of increasing production capacity and improving product quality. Building on an earlier $14-million investment, it is scheduled to start production in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026.

As a hygiene product manufacturer, Cascades says it is addressing “sustained demand from retail customers, particularly for regular and multi-pack toilet paper formats.” The new converting line will offer a capacity of 3 million cases.

“The installation is fully in line with our long-term growth strategy,” says Hugues Simon, president and CEO.
