MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Maple Leaf Foods Inc. released its 2025 Integrated Report on June 18, which summarizes its strategic progress, financial performance and the latest sustainability achievements.

The report also highlights the work the company has done in other areas, like animal care, food and worker safety.

“This has been a defining year for Maple Leaf Foods,” said Curtis Frank, president and chief executive officer of Maple Leaf Foods. “We successfully completed the spin-off of our pork operations and the final phase of our $2 billion transformation, positioning the company with greater financial strength, sharper strategic focus and improved consistency in performance. As we enter our next chapter, we do so with clear momentum, stronger execution and a compelling platform for sustainable growth.”

Plans for the pork spin-off were approved by the company’s shareholders in June 2025.

Some other key highlights include the new innovations with South Asian-inspired brand Musafir and Mighty Protein chicken sticks.

The company said its Schneiders and Maple Leaf brands maintained top two positions in packaged meats in Canada, with Maple Leaf Prime the No. 1 brand in fresh poultry.

Its Halal fresh poultry brand, Mina, remained a top product for the business. Greenfield Natural Meat Co. continued as a top sustainable packaged meat brand in both Canada and the United States.

Maple Leaf Foods also updated its enhanced social-compliance program and completed audit across key facilities. The company also summarized its safety performance during 2025 and reviewed its focus on workplace safety over the last decade.

“I am proud of the progress we are making toward our vision to be the most sustainable protein company on Earth,” Frank said. “Our Integrated Report demonstrates the discipline with which we are advancing both business performance and leadership in sustainability, from accelerating our environmental initiatives and enhancing animal care, to helping address food insecurity in the communities we serve.”

Under the heading of animal welfare, the company referenced the construction of state-of-the-art hatching egg barns for broiler breeder birds. Maple Leaf Foods also used remote video welfare auding and health monitoring throughout the last year.

The company confirmed 10 additional sites and facilities became landfill-free, as it continued to reduce waste. Maple Leaf expanded its regenerative agriculture partnerships, supporting growers across hundreds of thousands of acres for soil health and reduction in emissions.
