About 35 Years Ago: We are going to have another hot one today. Temperatures again will be in the high nineties and probably reach one-hundred degrees. A beautiful day for the beach and the humidity will remain low. So get outside and enjoy. Tomorrow night we will see temperatures drop back down into the eighties.
Summer 2026: This dangerous heat wave continues for a second day with extreme high temperatures. Try to stay indoors with air-condition, as the Heat Index will be as high as one-hundred and ten degrees.
What Changed?
No mention of the actual temperature, just the heat index which is much higher.
No mention of the low humidity.
No longer a beautiful beach day, only a dangerous heat wave
No mention of the time frame and end to the heat wave
Only manufacturing fear to create more views, clicks, and money.
However, this El Niño has NOT yet earned the title of “Super El Niño”. These statements currently being made by media’s Weather forecasters, either using Ai or Meteorologist computer software to predict future weather, is just that – predictions.
I do not appreciate the sensationalized predictions that satisfy the “want of greed” from some people/companies and weather news programs. What we need is hope in God’s help that no “Super” is added to this El Niño and the want of some people’s “greed” to get “clicks” or sell more “money making commercials” is dissolved. Hopefully to be replaced with reporting just the facts and only the facts. Not sensationalize possibilities to create fear in viewership or readership to make more money.
