India is enhancing its energy storage capabilities with ₹5,400 crore in funding to develop 30 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems. Solar capacity surpassed 164 GW, with NTPC planning 50 MWp solar projects at coal mines. Additionally, new grid connectivity standards and a ₹258.83 crore HRD programme for renewable energy have been proposed.
