Dairy producers at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show can see new stall, feed front and bedding designs in use on live animals at the Dairy Innovation Centre (DIC) barn, along with displays from companies working on dairy technology. The centre is supported by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA). The show runs Sept. 15 to 17.
Promat
Promat has made cow comfort products since 1991, and its systems are in use on millions of cows worldwide. The booth covers the range of options for different barn setups and management styles, with company representatives on hand to talk them through.
Torenna
Torenna is showing its flexible poly stall, its upright Feed4All feed front and a sand bedding product. The poly stall adjusts to fit animals from young calves to mature cows, which makes it a safe option for calves moving out of hutches and gives milking and dry cows an abrasion-free place to lie down. The Feed4All feed front adjusts the same way to suit a range of ages. The Sand Bedding $aver is built to keep sand dry, level and in the stall bed.
