The 98th Huron County Plowing Match on Aug. 21 drew the traditional crowd to a plowing match, but also a lot of young people, members of the local Sodbusters club.
The match was hosted by Nelson Underwood and the Underwood family at Underwood Farms. The farm hadn’t seen a plow in more than 20 years.
Emma Robinson was named Huron Queen of the Furrow.
The Huron Soil and Crop Improvement Association also held a sprayer demonstration in conjunction with the plowing match in which five local companies showed off the latest in sprayer technology.
