Ola Electric has onboarded its first 150 dealers as part of its plan to expand its sales and service network across India. The development marks a new phase in the company’s retail strategy, with local dealer partners expected to play a greater role in reaching customers and supporting vehicle owners.
The company’s founder and chairman, Bhavish Aggarwal, highlighted the milestone on October 9, 2026. The move follows Ola Electric’s decision in August to open its sales and service network to dealer partners.
For Ola Electric, the expansion comes at a time when improving customer accessibility and strengthening after-sales support remain important to its long-term growth.
Ola Electric Targets 500+ Dealerships
Ola Electric began expanding its dealer-led retail operations in September, with initial stores opening across seven states: Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The company has outlined plans to establish more than 500 dealerships over the following couple of quarters. The strategy is intended to help Ola Electric reach more markets through local business partners rather than depending entirely on company-operated outlets.
Under this approach, existing company outlets are expected to focus more on brand and product experiences, while dealer partners contribute to local sales, service and network expansion.
A dealer-led model could help the company enter smaller cities and towns more efficiently. Local partners may also offer customers easier access to product demonstrations, test rides and assistance during the buying process.
However, onboarding dealers does not necessarily mean that all planned outlets are operational. The pace of store openings and their performance will be important indicators of the strategy’s progress.
What energy our dealers have! First 150 onboarded and it was amazing to host and interact with them in our factory!
Honoured to partner with them and welcome them to the ever growing Ola family

After-Sales Service Remains a Key Challenge
Expanding the dealership network is only one part of Ola Electric’s recovery and growth strategy. The quality of the ownership experience will also influence whether the company can convert wider availability into stronger demand.
Electric two-wheeler buyers increasingly consider service accessibility, spare-parts availability, repair turnaround times and warranty support alongside vehicle specifications and pricing.
Ola Electric has faced customer criticism over after-sales service, making the effectiveness of its expanded network particularly important. More outlets could improve access to support, but the results will depend on technician training, parts supply and consistent service standards.
Dealer partners will also need adequate operational support from the company to handle customer concerns effectively.
What Comes Next for Ola Electric?
The first 150 dealers provide a starting point for Ola Electric’s planned expansion beyond 500 dealerships. The next challenge is to turn these partnerships into functioning businesses that can deliver consistent sales and reliable customer support.
The company will need to maintain dealer confidence while ensuring that the network remains commercially sustainable. For dealers, customer demand, operating costs and the quality of support from Ola Electric will influence the long-term viability of their businesses.
Ola Electric’s onboarding of 150 dealers is an important network milestone, but the real test lies ahead. Progress towards the 500-plus dealership target, improvements in service accessibility and customer satisfaction will determine whether the new retail strategy can deliver lasting results.
For customers, a larger network will matter most if it makes buying, servicing and owning an Ola electric scooter or motorcycle easier.
