A three-dimensional electrode composed of Bi2O3 and F-doped carbon fibers for Zn–CO2 battery was designed to achieved a faradaic efficiency of 97% for formate with 231 mA cm−2 at −1.1 V vs. RHE, which may be used in high performance Mars battery.
