We developed a facile and mild C–H chlorination method to install Cl groups into PMMA backbone and initiate efficient bulk depolymerization of commercial PMMA (104 to 106 g mol−1) and PMMA-based acrylic sheets at 290 °C to recover MMA in high yields.
