Elcogen has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guangzhou Xinzhili Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd. and part of China Southern Power Grid, to explore cooperation on solid oxide stack technology and support its activities in China.
The MoU was signed in Paris, France, on Monday August 24, 2026, by Elcogen Sales Director, Mr Hannu Anttila, and Mr. Xiong Jun, Chairman of Guangzhou Xinzhili Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
The agreement sets out a non-exclusive framework for cooperation between the two companies, recognising their complementary expertise in solid oxide technology and creating a pathway for Elcogen to engage with a major power-sector organisation within the China Southern Power Grid group.
Under the MoU, the parties intend to work together on the development of solid oxide products for the Chinese market, as well as explore opportunities to promote solid oxide cell products in the global market. This includes the optimisation of stack system performance, integration design and system validation.
Potential applications include data centres, distributed power generation for industrial and commercial customers, and hydrogen production through electrolysis.
