Elcogen is collaborating with Bonicorn Co., Ltd, a Thai clean energy technology company, and Eltronic PtX, a Danish specialist in integrated process systems for power-to-x technologies, to deploy high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology for clean energy and hydrogen solutions in Thailand.
The collaboration was officially introduced during a partnership signing ceremony event held at the InterContinental Bangkok on March 23rd, 2026, where representatives from the three companies shared their vision for supporting the region’s energy transition and strengthening the clean energy ecosystem.

This partnership combines Elcogen’s advanced solid oxide fuel cell technology with Eltronic PtX’s engineering and system integration capabilities, while Bonicorn serves as the strategic local partner in Thailand, bridging global innovation with market opportunities in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Together, the three companies aim to support the development of high-efficiency clean power systems based on solid oxide fuel cell technology, including green hydrogen production using Solid Oxide Electrolyser Cell (SOEC) technology, as well as scalable clean energy solutions for industrial applications.
The collaboration also includes plans to scale production capacity to support the growing demand for clean power in industrial sectors, including the rapidly expanding data centre industry in Thailand and, potentially, Southeast Asia.
Solid oxide fuel cell technology is one of the fastest-deployable clean power generation solutions available today, significantly faster than conventional power plants, which typically take multiple years to construct and bring online, often including transmission infrastructure expansion.
In addition, this technology supports sustainability performance indicators for publicly listed companies under the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s sustainability frameworks, helping businesses strengthen their environmental commitments and advance their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Thailand and Southeast Asia are entering a decisive phase in the global energy transition. Building a strong clean energy ecosystem requires the integration of world-class technology with strong local market capabilities. Bonicorn’s vision is to serve as a bridge between global innovation and regional opportunities. Our goal is to make green hydrogen and green electricity affordable, while accelerating the development of a clean energy ecosystem in Thailand and Southeast Asia,” said Piyachat Rerkyen, CEO of Bonicorn Co., Ltd, adding that,
“With the Thai government’s clear vision for clean energy development and the growing commitment of industrial sectors toward sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals, we are confident that Bonicorn’s solid oxide fuel cell solutions will receive strong interest and adoption. Bonicorn is currently in discussions with potential project developers to provide SOFC solutions for power supply across industrial estates, data centers, and green island projects.”
“We are pleased to collaborate with Bonicorn and Eltronic PtX to bring advanced solid oxide technology to one of the world’s most promising energy markets. Our expertise in high-performance solid oxide cells enables efficient electricity generation and hydrogen production for next-generation energy systems. We are looking forward to expanding our presence and footprint in Thailand to support the expansion of clean energy markets across Southeast Asia,” said Hannu Anttila, Elcogen Sales Director, adding,
“This aligns with the rapidly growing demand for clean power solutions driven by the expansion of data centers and digital infrastructure not only in Southeast Asia, but also across Europe and other regions worldwide.”
“Eltronic PtX brings engineering expertise and system integration capabilities that transform advanced technologies into practical industrial solutions. We look forward to supporting this collaboration from both engineering and execution perspectives to ensure that the opportunities identified together can be translated into real-world applications,” said Carl Jensen, CEO of Eltronic PtX, adding that,
“Beyond Thailand’s well-known natural beauty that attracts visitors from around the world, our collaboration with Bonicorn has also revealed the strong capabilities of Thai engineers and entrepreneurs. Their technical expertise, combined with a global business vision, is on par with leading countries in Europe and other parts of the world. We strongly believe that this three-party collaboration will successfully achieve its shared ambitions for the Southeast Asian market.”
