The Peak Performance dairy sale was the one of the largest dairy sales in recent years in Ontario, with 308 head selling live at Mark-A-Valley farm near Drayton, Ont.
The sale was managed by Haete Marks and his family at their Mark-A-Valley farm in conjunction with Mount Elgin Dairy Farms. More than 600 people attended the Aug. 1 sale.
Animals sold live averaged $5,488.56, with a gross of $1.717 million. Cattle were sold to Ontario buyers, but also to buyers in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Indiana.
