A significant scientific breakthrough was achieved in Colombia by Universidad CES, who identified the Hydrangea Ringspot Virus in hydrangeas for the first time in the country. This discovery creates new opportunities for disease management in one of Colombia’s most important flower export sectors, helping to protect production and support the livelihoods of over 1,300 farming families.
