Hankook has launched the Vantra Transit tire for light commercial vehicles, designed for transporters and small vans. The summer tire is designed to deliver high mileage, dependable safety and reduced rolling resistance and was developed in response to the growing use of commercial vehicles.
The Vantra Transit “combines innovative technologies with a robust construction”, Hankook says. The tire’s wider tread and optimized design are reported to reduce wear and increase mileage by up to 18% compared to the previous model. According to the manufacturer, the improved tread compound also lowers rolling resistance by 15% compared to typical light commercial vehicle tires, potentially reducing fuel consumption and tire replacement costs for fleet operators.
