Gemstar Infra has secured INR 2,600 crore (US$274 million) from a consortium led by the International Finance Corporation for smart metering infrastructure in Rajasthan. The funding will deploy 13.6 million smart meters, enhancing billing accuracy and reducing power distribution losses, while supporting India’s energy transition and modernization goals under the RDSS program.
