The importance of Ontario’s livestock sector is reflected in the amount of technology, services and demonstrations at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show 2025 in Woodstock, Ont. from Sept. 9 to 11.

Livestock Central is located in the large area between 7th Lane and Doug Wagner Way.

The Dairy Brunch, which takes place on Sept. 11, is a chance to meet up with colleagues and enjoy some free food. It runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Millions of cows around the world use various Promat systems and the Dairy Innovation Centre is a chance to learn about their various products. Torenna Inc. is showcasing its flexible poly stall, upright Feed4All feed front and Sand Bedding $aver.

With live cattle as a draw for dairy operators eager to see and learn about future forward breeding trends, EastGen will share its re-envisioned company branding at this event.

Canadian company Uddermatic demonstrates its rail feeder unit in the Dairy Innovation Centre. Just like in a livestock operation, frequent feedings ensure maximum performance, so the calves at the show will be fed several times each day. This feeding system can support calves or small animal ruminants.

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agri-Business is supporting the display of several companies with recent innovations in the livestock sector.

Beef

Emphasis on low-stress cattle handling has meant innovation in cattle handling equipment, and several will be on display in the live cattle handling demonstrations, taking place each day from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pasture grazing demonstrations will showcase new and proven technologies for managing cattle, including rotational grazing and fenceless pasturing systems. Local pasture experts will be available to talk about Ontario grazing conditions.

The rotational grazing demonstration takes place each day at 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
