NASDA welcomes new member to communications team

Headshot of Madison Sifford. ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is excited to announce the hiring of Madison Sifford as communications coordinator.

In this role, Sifford will help advance the organization’s communications strategy and increase the visibility of state departments of agriculture’s work. She will develop digital and print communications, including managing NASDA’s social media platforms and website.

“I am driven to connect my enthusiasm for agriculture with my background in communications and marketing,” Sifford said. “NASDA is dedicated to addressing critical issues in agriculture policy, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to join the team and do my part in amplifying our message.”

Sifford most recently served as marketing manager at Culpeper Farmer’s Cooperative, and she graduated from Virginia Tech with a dual degree in communication and dairy science. With a lifelong connection to agriculture, she brings a deep passion for the industry and creative ideas, making her a strong asset to NASDA’s communications team.

Madison’s first day at NASDA was March 16, 2025.
