Nutrition North Canada (NNC), launched in 2011, was meant to bridge this gap by making healthy food more affordable in remote communities. But more than a decade later, questions remain: is the program truly addressing food insecurity, or are systemic challenges, like cultural responsiveness, transportation barriers, and outdated policy frameworks, still leaving Northern families behind?
