Sioux Falls, SD — October 23, 2025 — The region’s primary recycling facility, Millennium Recycling, in partnership with Sioux Falls nonprofit BINfluencer, is celebrating America Recycles Day with a creative community challenge to help people “know where it goes.”
The “Know Where It Goes” Challenge invites teens and adults across Sioux Falls and surrounding communities to create short videos showing how they recycle right — for a chance to win one of two $250 Visa gift cards.
The contest is open to participants ages 14 and older within Millennium Recycling’s service area. Entries are accepted through November 15, 2025, at theBINfluencers.org.
Participants can submit a 10–30 second vertical video (9:16) that demonstrates how the BINfluencer app helps them recycle correctly, share a recycling tip, or bust a local myth. Each video must reference BINfluencer — either by mentioning the app or showing its logo. Entries will be judged on creativity (40%), accuracy and message clarity (40%), and presentation quality (20%).
“Waste diversion is common sense,” said Shannon Dwire, President of Millennium Recycling. “It’s about taking care of the land we’ve grown up on, conserving the resources we’ve worked hard for, and making sure our dollars stretch further. The BINfluencer app helps people do that every day — and this contest is a fun way to show how simple recycling right can be.”
Winners will be announced the week of November 20, 2025, on Millennium Recycling and BINfluencer social media pages. Full contest rules, entry forms, and downloadable BINfluencer logos are available at thebinfluencers.org/america-recycles-day.
Downloading the BINfluencer app is encouraged but not required to enter. The free app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, helping residents across the region “know where it goes” — whether recycling, reusing, or safely dropping off household items with locally correct information.
