Samuel Kendall Associates have received full planning permission for the deep retrofit and low carbon extension of a 1950’s house in the heart of Scarborough’s old town. Scarborough EnerPHit house showcases the EnerPHit standard for a low energy retrofit, upgrading the existing home’s thermal performance, integrating energy-saving ventilation systems whilst extending and reconfiguring the home using low carbon, long-lasting materials for a structural timber frame, high-performance over-insulation and maritime shiplap cladding respecting the harbourside context of Scarborough Old Town.
