The Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) has elected three new officers to its board of directors, representing a variety of industry segments.
The first is Todd Grace, president of Andritz Pulp & Paper North America. He previously served as a board member for the Association of Suppliers to the Paper Industry (ASPI) and currently serves on Andritz’s Canadian and U.S. retirement benefits committees. Over his 35-year career, he has held positions in process engineering, research and development (R&D), technical sales and management across the pulp and paper industry.
Second is D. Keith Hamilton, president of Georgia-Pacific (GP) Corrugated, who already sits on the boards for TAPPI’s corrugated packaging council and the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and is a member of the Fibre Box Association’s (FBA’s) safety committee. With a background in mechanical engineering and management, he held leadership positions at General Motors (GM) and Goodyear Tire and Rubber before joining GP.
Third is James McDonald, chief sustainability officer for Sylvamo, who previously worked for International Paper for 24 years, rising from regional manager to director of its global citizenship department. He has experience with environmental regulations, health and safety programs and sustainability initiatives.
