The Fastest Electric Scooters of 2026 (Tested Top Speeds)

The fastest electric scooter we have tested is the Hooga Daytona at 65 mph, and it ran out of road before it ran out of throttle. Twelve scooters made this list, every one with a GPS-verified top speed between 48 and 65 mph, and we ranked them by the number on the GPS, not the number on the box. Want a fast electric scooter without the hyper-scooter price? The Inmotion RS Midnight hit 62.1 mph for $2,599 and the YUME Raptor 2 hit 52 mph for $1,599.

The scooters on this page reach motorcycle speeds and are intended for experienced adult riders only. Always wear a full-face helmet and protective gear, inspect brakes and tires before every ride, and follow local laws.

Fastest Electric Scooters Compared: Tested vs Claimed Top Speed

Every speed in the tested column is a GPS number from our own runs. The claimed column is what the manufacturer prints. The gap between the two is the whole reason this list exists.

How We Test Electric Scooter Top Speed

Every number in the tested column comes from a GPS speedometer on a flat, closed road with a 235 lb rider, the battery above 80 percent and the scooter in its highest mode. We run both directions and log the best sustained speed, not a downhill or tailwind spike. On paper, that is why a few scooters here beat their own spec sheet and a few fall short of it.

Two things to keep in mind. First, a lighter rider will usually see a mile or two more than we did. Second, the biggest scooters are software-limited from the factory, so a fresh 72V pack and an unlocked controller can move the number. We report what the scooter does as delivered. For the full method, read how we test and our breakdown of claimed vs tested electric scooter top speed.

What Is the Fastest Electric Scooter in the World in 2026?

Among production scooters you can order today, the fastest electric scooter we have personally clocked is the Hooga Daytona at 65 mph, with the Inmotion RS at 62.1 mph and the Teverun Fighter Supreme 7260R at 61.5 mph right behind it. The Daytona is rated for 72 mph and riders report more with a tailwind, so its true ceiling is higher than our test road allowed.

The fastest scooter we have ever tested is the EMOVE Roadster, which hit 72.1 mph on GPS back in 2023. Voro Motors no longer sells it, and the Daytona is its spiritual replacement. The Kaabo Wolf King GTR clocked 65.8 mph for us the same year. On paper, the Slack Core 920R claims 90 mph and Dualtron rates the X Limited at 62 mph, but we have not GPS-tested either one, so they do not make the ranked list. Rated numbers are labeled as rated everywhere on this page.

Best 60 to 70 MPH Electric Scooters

These are true hyper scooters. Every one runs a 72V system with dual motors, and every one costs more than a used motorcycle. They are also the only electric scooters we have tested that will hold 60 mph on flat ground.

The Hooga Daytona is the fastest electric scooter we have tested. It showed 65 mph on GPS the day we ran out of road, and at 235 lb our rider still averaged 63.5 mph across repeated passes. Hooga rates it for 72 mph, and with dual 5,000W motors and a 72V 40Ah LG pack it never once felt like it was working hard.

In practice, what surprised us is how calm it is at that speed. The 152 lb chassis and adjustable hydraulic suspension keep it planted where lighter scooters start to wander. It is enormous and it is expensive, and nobody should make it their first scooter. If you want the fastest thing on two small wheels, this is it.

The Inmotion RS is the best deal on this whole list. We clocked a sustained 62.1 mph once we averaged out the wind, and it is still one of the quickest scooters to 30 mph we have ever tested. At $2,599 for the Midnight edition it undercuts every other 60 mph scooter here by at least a thousand dollars.

It is more than a drag racer. In practice the adjustable deck height and 128 lb curb weight make it easier to live with than the Daytona, and Inmotion’s app gives you real control over power delivery. If you want 60 mph without paying hyper-scooter money, start here.

The Fighter Supreme 7260R earned its 61.5 mph in real road testing with almost no wobble, and it was still doing 58 mph with the battery at 10 percent. That last part matters. Most hyper scooters fade hard as the pack drains. The 72V 60Ah battery in this one ties the RoadRunner Pro for the largest on the list at 4,320Wh, and Teverun rates it for up to 124 miles.

Dual 2,500W motors put out around 15,000W at peak, and the steering damper makes it one of the most controlled scooters at speed we have ridden. It is 141 lb and $3,895, so plan on a garage and a strong back. If you want 60 mph and an all-day battery, this is the pick.

The Hyperion RST hit 57.5 mph in our test on its stock off-road tires, and Solar says 65 to 70 mph is realistic on street rubber. Either way, it is the fastest scooter here that weighs anything close to 110 lb. Dual 5,000W motors and a 72V 40Ah Samsung pack got it from 0 to 40 mph in 6.5 seconds.

In practice it is more usable than the spec sheet suggests. We saw 44.7 miles of real range riding hard, and the quad-piston hydraulics stopped it from 15 mph in under 9 feet without fading. It is the lightest way onto this page’s upper half.

The RoadRunner Pro V2 is the fastest seated electric scooter we have tested at 55 mph, and the only one on this list you ride sitting down. The 72V 60Ah pack matches the Fighter Supreme at 4,320Wh, which gave us about 55 miles of real range at 35 to 40 mph, and dual 50A sine-wave controllers make the power delivery smooth from a stop.

It looks like a small electric motorbike and rides like one, with 14 inch tubeless tires and a 29 inch seat height. At 154 lb it is the heaviest thing here. If you want speed and a seat, nothing else we have tested comes close. Our code RIDERGUIDE takes $45 off at Voro Motors.

The Tiger King RS is where 50 mph gets aggressive. We saw 52 mph on GPS, and in repeated runs against the Tiger Supra it pulled harder everywhere, quicker to 30 and stronger past 50, with noticeably less voltage sag. Hiley rates it for 56 mph.

At 95 lb it is one of the lighter 50 mph scooters you can buy, which is why it feels so eager. NUTT four-piston hydraulic brakes and a big, stable frame round it out. This is not a beginner scooter, and at $2,299 it is one of the cheapest true 50 mph scooters on the market.

Dual motors with 6,000W of peak power and a 60V 30Ah pack got it to 40 mph in under 10 seconds on flat ground, which is quick for any scooter, let alone a $1,599 one.

It weighs 101.65 lb on our scale and runs 11 inch tires with a knobby or slick option, with dual-piston hydraulic brakes and adjustable suspension. Tested range was 29.1 miles at 35 to 40 mph, so it is a speed toy more than a commuter. As a speed toy, it is the best value on this page.

It is the Tiger King RS with the edges filed off.

Hiley rates it for 53 mph and up to 80 miles of range, and it runs the same NUTT four-piston hydraulic brakes. At $2,099 it is the cheaper of the two big Hileys. If you want near-50 mph speed without the sketch factor, this is the one.

Fastest Electric Scooter for Adults: How Much Speed Do You Need?

A fast electric scooter is only fun if you can stop it and live with it. Before you chase the biggest number, be honest about where you will ride and how far you will carry it.

  • 25 to 30 mph: Enough for any bike lane and most city streets. This is where commuter scooters live, and it is plenty for a first scooter. See our best electric scooters guide.
  • 40 to 45 mph: The start of the performance class. You will want dual motors, hydraulic brakes and real suspension here, and a full-face helmet stops being optional.
  • 50 mph: The sweet spot for experienced riders. Scooters like the Tiger King RS and Raptor 2 hit it for around $2,000, weigh under 100 lb and still fit in a car.
  • 60 mph and up: Hyper-scooter territory. Expect 72V systems, 130 to 155 lb of scooter and $2,600 to $4,000. These are motorcycle speeds on 11 inch wheels. Treat them that way.
  • Brakes before power: Every scooter on this list has hydraulic brakes. The Hyperion RST stopped from 15 mph in under 9 feet. Anything with cable discs or drums does not belong above 30 mph.
  • Tires and weight: Heavier scooters are calmer near 50 mph, and street tires are quieter and grippier than knobbies. Solar says the Hyperion RST picks up 8 mph or more on street tires alone.
  • Range at speed: Rated range assumes 15 mph. Ride at 40 mph and expect about half. The Fighter Supreme’s 4,320Wh pack is why it still ran 58 mph at 10 percent charge.

In most US states, an electric scooter is only legal on public roads if it is limited to 20 mph, and in some states 15 or 25. Every scooter on this page exceeds that in its top mode, which means it is technically a private-property vehicle unless you ride it in a restricted mode. Nothing here is DOT-certified or registrable as a motorcycle.

In practice, most riders use the low modes in town and save full power for closed roads or private land. Check your state and city rules, wear a full-face helmet at anything past 30 mph, and if you want something you can legally register, read our guide to the fastest electric motorcycles instead.

Fastest Electric Scooter FAQs

What is the fastest electric scooter in the world?

The fastest production scooter we have GPS-tested is the EMOVE Roadster at 72.1 mph, which is no longer sold. Three scooters we have tested clear 60 mph on GPS: the Hooga Daytona (65 mph), Inmotion RS (62.1 mph) and Teverun Fighter Supreme 7260R (61.5 mph). The cheapest of the three is the Inmotion RS Midnight at $2,599.

Is there a scooter that goes 40 mph?

Yes, and it does not have to be expensive. The Teewing GT4 hit 42.3 mph in our test for under $900, and the Hiley Tiger 10 V5 hit 48 mph for $1,599. Most dual-motor scooters in the $1,500 to $2,000 range will do 40 mph.

Which electric scooter accelerates the fastest?

The Inmotion RS is the quickest scooter to 30 mph we have tested. The MaxFun 10 Max did 0 to 15 mph in 1.87 seconds and the Solar Hyperion RST did 0 to 40 mph in 6.54 seconds. We rank them all in our guide to the fastest accelerating electric scooters.

Do fast electric scooters actually hit their claimed top speeds?

Sometimes. The YUME Raptor 2 beat its 40 mph claim by 12 mph and the Hiley Tiger 10 V5 beat its spec by one. The Hooga Daytona, Fighter Supreme and Hyperion RST fell short of their rated numbers on our test road. Rider weight, wind and battery charge all move the number, which is why we publish tested speeds instead of claims.

Are fast electric scooters street legal?

Usually not at full speed. Most US states cap legal electric scooter speed at 20 mph on public roads. Every scooter here exceeds that in top mode, so riders use restricted modes in town and save full power for private roads. Check your local rules before you buy.

What is the fastest electric scooter under $1,000?

The Teewing GT4. It hit 42.3 mph on GPS in our testing and sells for under $900. The Ausom K20 Pro is next at a tested 36 mph for $729.

Final Thoughts

If you want the fastest electric scooter you can buy, it is the Hooga Daytona. If you want 60 mph for the least money, it is the Inmotion RS Midnight. If you want 50 mph for under $2,000, buy the YUME Raptor 2 and do not look back. Everything else on this list comes down to weight and how much scooter you are willing to carry.

We retest this list as new scooters arrive, and every number here is one we recorded ourselves. If a scooter you are considering is not on it, check its tested top speed in our Ride Finder before you trust the spec sheet.
