TotalEnergies, in collaboration with Hydra Storage Holding and Reatile Renewables, has launched the Hydra Project, a 216 MW solar plant combined with a 500 MWh battery system in South Africa. This initiative, Africa’s largest hybrid renewable energy project, aims to support the country’s energy transition and supply 75 MW of dispatchable power to the grid.
