In July 2024, Governor Shapiro of Pennsylvania signed into law the Solar for Schools program, which will provide eligible PA schools with significant grants to help cover the cost of installing solar panels. This is the state’s first program of its kind, providing funds to eligible public school districts, technical schools, and community colleges.
In our current economic environment, where school operational costs are becoming increasingly difficult to control, it’s essential for schools to implement cost containment measures wherever possible. The Solar For Schools grant program will support this effort by providing funds to make it financially feasible for schools to install solar and take control of their energy expenses.
