The Volkswagen Group has selected the Apollo Tyres Vredestein Wintrac Pro high-performance winter tire as original equipment (OE) for its Tiguan SUV in Europe.
Apollo will supply the Vredestein Wintrac pro in size 215/65 R17 99H specification. The tires will be fitted to Tiguan models at the Volkswagen production facility in Wolfsburg, Germany. The Wintrac Pro tires will also be available on the replacement market.
Vredestein says the Wintrac Pro is a dedicated performance-focused winter tire that offers “impressive levels of grip and control, even in the most challenging conditions”. Certified with the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, the Wintrac Pro complies with EU winter tire regulations (ECE R117) and has been optimized for snow and ice performance, with an EU tire label rating of ‘A’ for wet grip.
