AMETEK, Inc. and FARO Technologies, Inc. today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which AMETEK will acquire all outstanding shares of FARO Technologies common stock for $44 per share in cash, which represents an approximate 40% premium to FARO’s closing price on May 5, 2025.
