This year’s theme for the RSB Annual Conference, challenges us to confront the retreat of ambition and the credibility gap in sustainability, and to focus on how we accelerate action beyond promises.

Across three days in Geneva, participants will move through workshops, debates, and governance sessions designed to shape immediate solutions and chart the bioeconomy’s long-term direction.

As we finalise the details for our flagship event’s agenda, the outline below provides a first look at what to expect. Please note: the official agenda will be published at a later date.

Tuesday, 9 December – Collaboration Day

📍 International Environment House II, Geneva

A day dedicated to technical exchange and collaboration, with interactive workshops and sessions exploring how to move ideas from concept to practice.

Topics will include:

  • Book & Claim – registries, pilots, policy alignment, and multi-sector applications
  • Feedstock development & risk assessments
  • Plastics, chemicals & materials in the bioeconomy
  • Certification tools and recognition approaches

Closed sessions will also be held for the RSB Board, Delegates, and Certification Bodies.

We will conclude the day with the RSB Transition Leaders’ Awards Gala Dinner, sponsored by Airbus.

Wednesday, 10 December – Flagship Day

📍 International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG)

The flagship day will convene global leaders for high-level debate and insight around the theme: If Plan A has failed, what does credible action look like now?

Participants can expect:

  • Keynote reflections on the state of ambition and credibility
  • Strategic sessions on sustainability under pressure
  • System-level stocktakes and responses
  • Spotlights on leadership and innovation across the value chain
  • Showcases of RSB programmes in action — from Book & Claim to Impact Claims
  • Forward-looking panels on Power-to-X, chemicals, and feedstocks
  • Panel with the Transition Leaders’ Awards winners, moderated by Airbus

After the intensity of the day’s presentations, we will close with a laid-back networking reception.

Thursday, 11 December – Assembly of Delegates

📍 International Environment House II, Geneva

The conference will conclude with the Formal Assembly of Delegates, a members-only session where the RSB community conducts its governance functions and sets RSB’s course for the future. This year’s Assembly will focus on ensuring RSB’s standards remain powerful tools for delivering Plan B and achieving real-world impact.
