Fuel breaks are a common feature on the national forests in southern California and elsewhere. From 2012-2016, the Adaptive Management Services Enterprise Team gathered and developed data and a process to prioritize fuel break maintenance on the Angeles, Cleveland, Los Padres and San Bernardino National Forests. Data were divided into 3 tiers: fire-related factors, non-fire related factors and other factors. The first two tiers were used in the evaluation process. This data publication includes data for the 38 measures developed through analysis of existing spatial information and fire behavior simulations. Data are provided for the 1125 fuel breaks that existed during this time period. This data set documents conditions associated with fuel breaks on the Angeles, Cleveland, Los Padres and San Bernardino National Forests 2012-2016.For more information about this study and these data, see Weise et al. (in press).
