An Egyptian-Emirati consortium plans to invest EGP 20 billion in a high-voltage power transmission project to enhance Egypt’s electricity network and support renewable energy growth. The 500-kilovolt line will link Gulf of Suez renewable projects to the Hawamdiya substation, improving grid capacity and aiding the government’s renewable energy goal of 45% by 2028.
