Converting companies are an integral part of the nonwovens supply chain. For all of the advantages the industry’s products provide, a lot has to happen prior to their end use. Nonwovens need to be cut into a variety of shapes and sizes, scaled down to become a single-use product, as well as printed, packaged and more. Sometimes the process is simple, and sometimes more complex, with converting companies using the latest technology to add value to products and make them easier to use. The following is a compilation of capabilities and services of some the nonwovens industry’s leading converters.
ADDEV Materials
ADDEV Materials is a global industrial group specializing in the conversion and customization of high-performance materials. Beckmann Converting
Beckmann Converting, Inc, is a “roll-to-roll” toll converter delivering ultrasonic laminating services to its customers who design and make textile products for diverse industries and applications. The company continues its journey of incremental innovation through upgrading manufacturing equipment and controls technology on all its laminating machines. While this core strategy proves successful in driving growth and support of new product development programs for all customers, there is much more to ensuring success today and in the future.
The company reinvigorated its ISO 9000:2015 Quality Management System beginning in early 2025. The first step was contracting with a new ISO registrar located in its home state of New York. DLS Quality Management, Inc. completed the renewal audit in mid-2025, resulting in recertification of the company’s quality program. The first surveillance audit was successfully executed in June 2026. Within that timeframe, Beckmann Converting initiated a comprehensive review and improvement effort in selected processes determined to be most directly impacting the quality of finished laminated product meeting customer specifications.

The company’s first stage of a revamped “Work Order” process is actively in trial on one of the more complex and high-volume customer products. Feedback from the production crews and staff are being integrated into additional modifications. Once stabilized, the new process will migrate to all other products. Other improvements made have created more robust Customer Complaint and Corrective Action processes and accompanying forms. Additional quality processes will be tackled for overhaul and improvement as resources allow.
Although the company’s safety record has been very good over the years, Beckmann Converting restructured its Safety Program starting in late 2024. Efforts launched in early 2025 involved more rigorous inspection and maintenance of critical material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes. Although people lifts are used infrequently, this equipment was included in the program. Implementation included refresher training on operating all equipment and reemphasizing the importance of regular pre-operation inspections. A major overhaul was carried out on Lockout/Tagout processes and extensive LOTO training was provided to all manufacturing employees. New contemporary First Aid stations and an AED unit were installed throughout the facility, and first aid/trauma response training took place.
Fire Safety, Emergency Response and Plant Evacuation took center stage going into 2026. Fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems and emergency lighting were fully inspected and documented, and all employees were trained on safe and effective fire response. Plant evacuation drills were executed after all emergency exit maps and egress paths were checked for accuracy and clarity. With the plant located adjacent to a high-speed rail line for both passenger and freight trains, a special Train Derailment Evacuation Plan was implemented directing employees away from all locations likely to be impacted should a derailment occur.
The U.S.-based company converts continuous, wide web, roll-to-roll customer owned technical materials into multiple layer high-performance textile composites. Ultrasonic laminating lines process raw materials up to 126 inches wide with finished product incorporating two to seven layers of nonwovens, films, knits, wovens, meshes and other materials. Beckmann Converting operates on a fully registered ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Program.

Web Industries
As the global nonwovens market continues to grow, Web Industries offers Personal and Home Care (P&HC) product companies unique capabilities and capacities that ease end-product manufacturing challenges and reduce business uncertainties.
“For consumer packaged goods, brands must maintain manufacturing speed and efficiency to protect profitability,” says Ed Martins, vice president of Web’s Industrial & Consumer business unit. “The biggest consumer product companies trust Web’s wide-format slitting, spooling, printing and supply chain management solutions. We’re enabling those companies to achieve scale, speed and optimized production across a wide range of personal hygiene, home care and packaging products.”
Another challenge for these companies is finding cost-competitive efficiencies from reliable domestic suppliers who can keep market channels stocked regardless of global conditions. That’s where Web Industries’ unmatched converting scale, innovative slitting/spooling formats and wide-width multi-color flexographic printing options can provide real business advantages. “Web has some of the largest converting lines in the world, and we’ve developed highly-automated solutions for producing large format and extra-large-format spooled output,” Martins continues. “Spooled slit materials offer significant runtime advantages versus traditional slit pads, and Web’s largest spools provide twice the capacity of regular spools.”
Backed by years of expertise, Web’s proprietary spooling design optimizes tension control to convert thinner, extensible and high-loft nonwovens with precision while maintaining material integrity.
For brands looking to secure their manufacturing base through onshoring, Web’s co-located converting and printing operations simplify the process of rationalizing a regionalized supply chain.
