Continental has received original equipment approval for the Volkswagen ID. Cross. The all-electric compact SUV is fitted with EcoContact 7 summer tires in 17in, 18in and 19in sizes, with Volkswagen recommending the WinterContact TS 870 P for winter use and the 18in AllSeasonContact 2 for year-round driving.
The EcoContact 7 has been designed for low rolling resistance and high mileage, supporting energy-efficient and cost-effective driving. Its Smart Energy Casing technology uses innovative materials in the carcass, inner layer and sidewall to reduce friction within the tire. The special Aerodimple structure on the sidewall reduces air turbulence behind the tire, lowering aerodynamic drag, and the Silent Pattern tread design dampens rolling noise, particularly at city driving speeds.
