We introduced an amino acid L-methionine for synthesizing porous active ice with partially ordered hydrogen bonding network, which achieves ultra-rapid CH4 hydrate kinetics of 156.1 Vg/Vw with a t90 of 3.3 min for solidified natural gas storage.
