The reuse of used lithium-ion batteries from electric cars is becoming increasingly important as the vehicles become more widespread. However, despite the considerable potential for conserving resources, upcycling has not yet become established for technical and economic reasons. The ‘QuaLiProM’ research project now aims to change this.
