Media Release
Australia’s transition to renewable energy has taken another step forward, with Sungrow officially opening its first Solar & Battery Experience Hub in the country. Located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, the new facility aims to bring clean energy technologies closer to Australian households, businesses, and communities.
The new centre marks a significant milestone in Sungrow’s long-term investment in Australia, where the company has established a strong presence over the past 14 years.
A hands-on approach to clean energy
Unlike a traditional showroom, the Sungrow Solar & Battery Experience Hub has been designed as an interactive space where visitors can experience renewable energy technologies firsthand.
The facility allows homeowners, businesses, developers, and community groups to explore live demonstrations of solar, battery storage, EV charging, and intelligent energy management technologies. Visitors can also receive tailored advice on residential and commercial energy solutions.

Powered entirely by Sungrow’s own inverter and battery systems, the building also serves as a real-world example of how commercial properties can operate efficiently and sustainably.
The opening ceremony attracted several notable guests, including Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli, Member for Caloundra Kendall Hatcher MP, renewable energy industry representatives, community leaders, and Sungrow Australia executives. Their attendance highlighted the growing collaboration between industry, government, and local communities in accelerating Australia’s clean energy transition.
Why the Sunshine Coast?
The Sunshine Coast was selected due to its strong sustainability focus and growing commitment to renewable energy initiatives.
Beyond showcasing products, the Hub aims to become a community asset by partnering with local residents, businesses, schools, universities, and non-profit organisations. Sungrow plans to deliver technical training, sustainability education programs, and community events designed to increase renewable energy awareness and support local development.
The company also reinforced its commitment to the region by donating two energy storage systems to local charities.
Three immersive experience zones
The centre features three dedicated experience areas, each designed to educate visitors about different aspects of the renewable energy ecosystem.

Supporting Australian installers and communities
Sungrow says the Experience Hub will work closely with local installation partners to ensure visitors receive trusted advice and professional support.
The company also plans to host a range of renewable energy workshops and events tailored to homeowners, first-time buyers, commercial developers, corporate partners, educational institutions, and government representatives.
Neil Yang, Channel Sales Manager at Sungrow Australia, said the Hub represents far more than a product display centre.
“Sungrow Australia has been a trusted part of everyday life for families, installers, and industry partners across the country. Today, we take an important step forward. More than a physical space, it is a place where people can experience clean energy firsthand, learn from industry experts, and gain the confidence to make smarter energy decisions.”
Yang also revealed the company’s broader ambitions for the concept.
“Following 14 years of continuous support from the local community, we made the significant decision to establish this experience hub on the Sunshine Coast. Our long-term vision is to replicate this model across major towns and cities in Australia, creating more opportunities for renewable energy education, community engagement, local employment, and sustainable infrastructure.”
A growing Australian footprint
Sungrow has become one of Australia’s most recognised solar brands, with more than 600,000 residential and commercial installations across the country. The company has steadily expanded its local presence as demand for solar, battery storage, and energy independence continues to rise.
The opening of the Solar & Battery Experience Hub signals a new chapter in how Australians engage with renewable energy technologies. Rather than simply purchasing products, consumers can now see systems operating in real time, understand how they work, and make more informed decisions about their energy future.
As Australia moves towards a lower-carbon economy, initiatives such as the Sungrow Experience Hub could play an important role in improving renewable energy literacy, supporting local communities, and helping more Australians embrace the benefits of solar and battery storage.
For homeowners considering solar, batteries, or EV charging, the Sunshine Coast facility offers a glimpse into what the future of home energy may look like.
