The United Arab Emirates (UAE) vehicle trade has expanded rapidly, fueled by the Jebel Ali Port its free economic zone (Jafza). But which country’s vehicle trade with the UAE are growing the most?

China Dominates Growth of Vehicle Imports to the UAE
Here are the countries with the highest growth of vehicle exports to the UAE.

As Chinese automakers expand their vehicle trade globally, the UAE has become crucial for their Middle Eastern operations.
Iraq Takes the Lead in UAE Vehicle Exports
On the other hand, here are the countries with the highest growth in vehicle imports from the UAE.

On the export side, Iraq stands out as the UAE’s fastest-growing destination for vehicle shipments.
From 2018 to 2023, Iraq’s imports of UAE-exported vehicles grew by $1.97 billion, over seven times the growth value of the runner-up nation Jordan.
The Role of Jebel Ali Port and Jafza
Much of this growth is attributed to Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port, one of the world’s largest maritime trade hubs.
Coupled with Jafza’s free economic zone, the port enables Dubai as a staple in the global automotive supply chain.
With increasing investments in logistics, Dubai is poised to strengthen its role as the regions top hub for vehicle trade.
