Happy September! This is the best month of the growing season! Summer crops are still in full bloom, and our fall favorites are right around the corner. This week, tender arugula is back and green beans are ready!

IN THE BOX…
Green Beans
You can’t find these sweet, tender beans anywhere! (Except in a CSA!) Be sure to not overcook. Steam until just knife tender. We love them simply served with butter and salt.
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Musk Melon
Sometimes called cantaloupe, these are actually musk melons.
Storage: IN THE FRIDGE! They are harvested ripe and they will rot if you leave them on the counter!
Green Cabbage
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Sungold Cherry Tomatoes
Storage: On the counter. Make sure the red tomatoes ripen to a deep red.
Red Tomatoes
Storage: On the counter. Make sure the red tomatoes ripen to a deep red.
Arugula
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Cilantro
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge. Use up quickly!
Zucchini
Storage: In an airtight bag in the fridge.

**The fruit is packaged in paper tote bags inside a cardboard box at the site. If you are not a fruit share member, do not touch the totes!**

If someone else is picking up your share for you, be sure to instruct them on the pick-up protocols. Last year we had a “substitute” pick-up person take an entire box of fruit! It’s one tote bag per fruit share membership.
