Date:

Researchers engineered asymmetric copper sites in Cu/ZIF-8 to drive Fenton-like hydroxyl radical generation at neutral pH, addressing a key chemical limitation in polishing 4H-silicon carbide. In CMP tests, the catalyst raised the material removal rate to 62.4 nm min?¹ while producing subnanometre surface roughness and low residual dissolved copper.
