BioBond Adhesives, Inc. announced the launch of BioMelt
, a new biobased adhesive for artificial nails. This product offers a strong, long-lasting hold while emphasizing environmental sustainability.
Unlike conventional nail glues that contain synthetic and harsh chemicals, BioMelt is made from plant-derived materials. Greg Piche, Vice President of Products, highlighted that BioMelt is high-performance, non-toxic, and biodegradable.
BioBond’s development reflects its commitment to creating effective products that meet consumer demand for safer, healthier, and sustainable options.
Dr. Clayton Westerman, Chief Science Officer, explained, “We identified a market gap for a nail adhesive that’s both effective and truly sustainable. BioMelt combines professional-grade performance with eco-consciousness.”
The adhesive is easy to apply and remove, minimizing damage to natural nails. Brad Boelkins, Vice President of Business Development, said, “Its fast-drying formula provides a secure bond that withstands daily activities, keeping manicures flawless longer.”
Marc McConnaughey, CEO of BioBond, emphasized, “Consumers want products that are good for them and the environment. BioMelt demonstrates how sustainable science can outperform traditional products.”
These plant-based solutions will be available for sampling in Q4 2025. They will also be showcased at BioBond’s booth at PackExpo in Las Vegas, September 29 to October 1.
BioBond is the second company launched by Big Idea Ventures’ GFRP Fund. The company is based in Lafayette, Indiana, and focuses on innovative, sustainable products for the beauty industry.
